Nexora FinOps Platform

Overview

Nexora came to us with spreadsheets. Finance teams at their client companies were manually reconciling cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and GCP every month, with numbers that were already stale by the time reports went out. We built a platform that pulls billing data automatically, forecasts spend, and flags anomalies before they become a surprise on the invoice.

The challenge

Existing finance tooling on the market was either built for engineers (too technical for finance teams) or built for generic budgeting (too shallow for multi-cloud complexity). Nexora needed something that spoke both languages — accurate down to the resource level, but presented the way a CFO actually reads a report. Data also had to update near-instantly across three cloud providers with wildly different billing APIs and refresh cadences.

Our approach

• Built a unified ingestion layer that normalizes billing data from AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing into one consistent schema.
• Designed a forecasting engine using historical spend patterns to project month-end totals with a visible confidence range, not just a single guessed number.
• Built anomaly detection that flags unusual spend spikes within hours instead of at month-end reconciliation.
• Delivered a role-based dashboard so finance, engineering, and leadership each see the view relevant to them from the same underlying data.
